The Sigma Chi International Fraternity is a social fraternity that stands above the rest. To be a Sig is to dedicate yourself towards a lifelong pursuit of these three ideals, and to become a leader of men. Here in Irvine, California, the Sigs of the Eta Sigma chapter exemplify these values.

Sigma Chi is one of the most recognizable greek letter organizations in the world, and for good reason. Sigma Chi's brotherhood claims more than 15,000 active college members and more than 350,000 members over its lifetime, making it one of the largest fraternities in the world. 

 

Since its inception in 1855, Sigma Chi has contributed much to the world, and this is especially apparent through Derby Days, the iconic Sigma Chi philanthropy. Since 2012, Sigma Chi has raised more than $11 million for the Huntsman Cancer Institute, and has pledged an additional $20 million before 2030. In 2022, the Sigs of Eta Sigma alone raised more than $30k for the cause, more than any other Irvine fraternity.

 

Sigma Chi is also the first fraternity to provide a leadership program for its members, truly cementing them as leaders of men. Every year, numerous members of the Eta Sigma chapter attend the Horizons Huntsman Leadership Summit. Also, 5 officers from Eta Sigma attend the Krach Transformative Leadership Workshop yearly with the goal of enhancing the skills of Sigma Chi executive members.
